Day 6, here we are! I fully intended to write yesterday, but with all of my newfound ENERGY, I just kept working and working until almost midnight!  (Then I had to go to bed…not necessarily because I was tired but because I didn’t know what I was going to be like today)

Here’s the thing, I’m usually an in-bed-by-10pm, up around 7:30am kinda gal, but with this juice fast, I’ve got so much energy, I can just keep going.  It’s totally crazy!  So, I went to bed at midnight last night…then played Candy Crush until I fell asleep (normal routine, lol), and woke up at 7am totally ready to go!  Oh!  And did I mention I’ve lost 10 POUNDS in 6 days?!  What?!?!

I ALSO usually hit a brick wall in the middle of the day that makes me want to take a nap, or just stare at the wall for a little while.  No more.  Those days are gone. I’m actually starting to think about how I can incorporate this into my life FOREVER.  Obviously don’t fast forever, but maybe 1/2 juice, 1/2 food?  I don’t know?  I’ll let you know as I do more research.

OK, so, a lot of people have been asking me about what they need to do to get started, and I want to have a resource for them to go to, so here it is 🙂

If YOU want to start a juice fast or cleanse, or whatever you would like to call it, here are the things I did.

  1. I let my doctor know…don’t skip this step.
  2. Weighed myself the day I started, and take before and after photos. They’re always fun.  I can already see the weight loss in myself and it’s been less than a week…imagine what 2 MONTHS is going to do!
  3. I found our juicer (from my husbands previous juice fast a few years ago). If you want a good, cheap juicer, here is the one we use and it’s been great!
  4. I downloaded the app, 101 Juice Recipes. There are lots of other neat apps out there, but this was the one I chose.  I like how you can choose what fruit, veggie, or combination of both you want to include in the juice and it will show you a juice for that.
  5. I found a few recipes that included things that I knew I would like and went to the store to grab the ingredients.  With this specific app, the recipes seem to usually be for 2 servings, so if you know you’re going to like it, go ahead and x4 it so you have a bunch on hand.  (I do this for the sweet ones, lol!)
  6. I told all of you guys!! Tell EVERYONE you know that you are doing this! Data proves that if you have accountability, you will do what you’re striving for.  Peer pressure in the best way!  Truly, you guys, this is a VERY good thing to be doing for yourself, so you may as well tell everyone, so they can see how easy it is and be able to do it for themselves.
  7. I’m only on Day 6, so I’ll add more things as I think of them 🙂

As always, if you have questions, please reach out to me on social media, I’m in your corner 🙂
