Day 17, down 16 lbs,.and my first check in with my doctor. I usually semi-hate going to the doctor because I hate getting on the scale. It’s always a reminder of how much I planned on losing the last time I was there…but didn’t…and most of the time, gained instead. Today was totally different. As I sat in the office waiting for her to come in, I had time to think. To slow down and just show gratitude for my journey. No toddler to keep out of the drawers, or the garbage, or the tongue depressors…Just me and my thoughts. I rifled through all of the times I let myself down, thinking I wasn’t capable of such a drastic change.  All of the times I started a diet, lost a few pounds, and quickly went out to eat a bunch of stuff to gain it all back. Apple Pie Juice If you have a sweet tooth, this is the juice for you! It’s sweet and really reminiscent of an actual apple pie! Aside from that, it come packed with vitamins B,C, potassium, phosphorus and calcium. 1 Sweet Potato2 Carrots2 Red Apples1 Orange1 Dash Pumpkin Pie Spice 1. Wash all ingredients2. Peel orange and sweet potato3. Add all ingredients through juicer4. Top with a dash of pumpkin pie spice and enjoy!

Day 6, here we are! I fully intended to write yesterday, but with all of my newfound ENERGY, I just kept working and working until almost midnight!  (Then I had to go to bed…not necessarily because I was tired but because I didn’t know what I was going to be like today) Here’s the thing, I’m usually an in-bed-by-10pm, up around 7:30am kinda gal, but with this juice fast, I’ve got so much energy, I can just keep going.  It’s totally crazy!  So, I went to bed at midnight last night…then played Candy Crush until I fell asleep (normal routine, lol), and woke up at 7am totally ready to go!  Oh!  And did I mention I’ve lost 10 POUNDS in 6 days?!  What?!?! I ALSO usually hit a brick wall in the middle of the day that makes me want to take a nap, or just stare at the wall…

Alright, here we are at Day 4 already!  Keep in mind, the warning when I started was that the first 4 days were the worst!  So that means the WORST is behind me!  (and it wasn’t bad…at…all) Today was awesome.  Now, I’m really settling into this lifestyle, because, let’s face it, 60 days makes it a lifestyle, at least for a couple of months. So now I’m exploring all sorts of recipes and things I want to try! I’ve done at least 1 Facebook live from my personal page every day showing how to do the actual act of juicing and proving that cleanup really isn’t that big of a deal. That was actually a reason that kept me from juicing for a LONG TIME.  Because I heard the clean up was AWFUL!  NOW, I think people who say the cleanup is awful are actually just…

Ok, so I watched Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead…again.  If you haven’t seen it on Netflix, check it out! You all probably already know how much of a wellness buff I am.  My family doesn’t eat wheat, Sugar (capital S sugar, not cane sugar) or gluten of any kind in addition to a lot of other little things. Why?  Because we want to be healthy. We don’t want to have to take a bunch of medications. We want to FEEL good. And most of all, we want to be able to live out our life purpose as long as possible, and as comfortably as possible.
